Brian A. Heyesey is a Partner with Szaferman Lakind’s Personal Injury Group. Brian has successfully tried numerous cases to a jury verdict and his comfort level in the courtroom was recently recognized by the National Trial Lawyers which selected him for inclusion in its “Top 40 Under 40” section. In both 2015 and 2016, Brian’s professional achievements were recognized by his peers as he was included in the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list issued by Thomson Reuters.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Maryann K. Bielamowicz, J.S.C., Mercer Vicinage, Superior Court of New Jersey. Brian then gained a tremendous amount of courtroom experience serving as a county prosecutor for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Brian primarily focused his practice on criminal and municipal defense where he represented clients charged with everything from minor drug possession to armed robbery, aggravated sexual assault and homicide.
Although Brian handles all types of personal injury matters, including those stemming from automobile accidents and slip/trip and falls, his experience in handling criminal cases has provided a good backdrop for representing clients who have suffered physical and, often times, psychiatric injuries as a result of being victimized by another person or institution.
Brian received his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire and a B.A. in Government & Law and Spanish from Lafayette College.
