Thomas J. Manzo recently represented a plaintiff who was involved in a vehicular accident with a tractor trailer.
The plaintiff was struck by the tractor trailer when it made a wide right turn that cut into the plaintiff’s lane of travel on the perpendicular street. The plaintiff had previously sustained shoulder injuries in past accidents, but Tom successfully argued that the impact of the tractor trailer worsened the plaintiff’s preexisting condition, which ultimately required surgical repair.
The total compensation awarded was $310,000, which included pain and suffering damages and wages lost while the plaintiff was forced to miss work for the surgical repair and recovery time.
